Description
Sabai Beach is a small eco-resort out on the Barú peninsula, arranged around a private stretch of shoreline that is kept free of vendors and crowds. It runs quieter than most of Barú’s clubs, and the ticket price already absorbs the departure tax rather than leaving you to find cash at the pier.
You board at the Todomar pier in Bocagrande at 7:30 AM. There is water on the boat, and the route takes in Fuerte de Bocachica and the Ciénaga de Cholón before it reaches Barú. A local fruit popsicle is waiting at the other end.
The day itself: beach beds down at the waterline, a freshwater infinity pool looking out to sea, towels and freshwater showers, coffee that never stops, and wifi on the sand. Kayaks, paddle boards, volleyball and beach rackets are all included. Lunch is à la carte with fourteen options and a drink. A DJ plays on Saturdays and Sundays. The day also takes in the Oceanarium — the visit is included, the entrance ticket is not — and a thirty-minute stop in the Rosario Islands to swim. Home at 3:00 PM.
